Conference Hire FAQs
How do I book a Conference?
To make a booking, please complete and return a copy of the venue booking form, which you will find at the back of the Hire Pack. We will also require a £100.00 + VAT deposit. If you need an invoice please email us at email@example.com.
What parking is available at the venue?
There are 6 car parking spaces available for you to use in the venue car park, these include 2 disabled spaces. The closest car park to the NCEM is Peel Street, which is approximately a 4-minute walk away. Click here
Can you give us information about your disabled access and facilities?
The NCEM is completely flat-floored throughout making it an accessible building for wheelchair users with or without an accompanied helper. There is an entrance ramp from Percy’s Lane and the Walmgate entrance is flat allowing access from both directions. There is a state-of-the-art induction hearing loop to ensure good quality of sound. You do need to let us know before arrival if you require the use of our hearing loop during your visit as it is not always turned on. There are two designated disabled car parking spaces in the adjacent car park. If you need to book a taxi suitable for wheelchair travel, contact C & P Services on 01904 413121 or Station Taxis on 01904 623332. Please book as early as possible as they operate a busy service.
Is there Wifi in the Building?
Yes Wifi is available in all meeting rooms free of charge.
Do you have housekeeping notes?
An information sheet will be provided to organisers before the event. It is the organisers responsibility to ensure that delegates are instructed as to the evacuation procedure and other pertinent matters for comfort during the day.
Do your rooms have natural daylight?
Yes they do and there are also have black out blinds for all the windows in the church if you require them.
What size are your tables?
We have eight 6ft long trestle table and twelve round 5ft diameter round tables. Round tables seat a maximum of 10 people although 8/9 is more comfortable.
